Scott joined the State’s Attorney’s Office as a Special Investigator after retiring from the Maryland State Police in April of 2021.  Scott was an investigator with the Maryland State Police (MSP) for more than twenty-one years, working in investigative units from Western Maryland to the lower Eastern Shore.  Scott spent more than twelve of those years assigned to the MSP Homicide Unit, serving his final six years as the Commander of the unit.

Scott was born and raised in Carroll County, but has lived on the Eastern shore for more than twenty years.
